Privacy Policy

This is a marketing site for The Media Spark. It has no accounts, no logins, no payments, and no database. The only personal information we get is what you type into the contact form, or send us on WhatsApp, on purpose. We use it to reply to you. We don't sell it, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.

The Media Spark is a social media and digital marketing agency based in Mumbai, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the information described here — meaning we decide why and how it is handled.

Only what you hand over. There is no hidden collection, no profiling, and no fingerprinting.

• Contact form — your name, email address, and the message you write.
• If you message us on WhatsApp — whatever your WhatsApp profile shows us and whatever you write. That conversation happens inside WhatsApp, under Meta's privacy policy, not ours.

We ask for the fewest fields we can and still be able to reply. We don't ask for anything the Act treats as sensitive, and please don't send it to us unprompted.

Because you gave it to us for a specific purpose — you filled in a form asking us to get in touch. Under the DPDP Act that is consent for a stated purpose, and the purpose is simply: replying to your enquiry, and any follow-up conversation that comes out of it.

We do not use it for anything else. If we ever want to — a newsletter, say — we'll ask you separately, and you'll be free to say no.

Submitting the form opens WhatsApp with your message ready to send. Nothing is transmitted to this website or stored on it — the form only assembles the text.

No advertising cookies. Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described below, what we store is small, local to your browser, and never sent anywhere:

• Your light/dark theme choice, so the site looks the way you left it. Kept until you clear your browser data.
• A flag noting the intro animation has already played, so you don't sit through it twice. Cleared when you close the tab.
• A flag used to recover from a loading error without getting stuck in a reload loop. Also cleared when you close the tab.

Clearing your site data removes all three. Nothing breaks — you'll just see the intro once more and the theme back on its default.

Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_*, holding a random ID so repeat visits can be counted. They last up to two years unless you clear them, and you can block them in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on without anything on this site breaking.

Like nearly every website, some parts are served by third parties, and they can see your IP address as a technical consequence of sending you the file:

• Vercel — hosts the site and keeps standard server logs.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces.
• Calendly — only if you click "Book a call". Its script is not loaded until you reach for that button, so if you never do, Calendly never learns you were here. Booking a slot means giving Calendly your details under its own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — counts visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where from (country or city, from your IP address, which Google does not store), what device and browser, how you arrived, and which links you click. We see totals, not individuals. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so it is not used to build an advertising profile of you. It runs only on themediaspark.in.
• WhatsApp and Instagram (Meta), and LinkedIn — only when you follow one of our links to them.

Enquiries stay in our inbox while there's a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back. If a conversation goes nowhere, we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you, and who we've shared it with.
• Correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing.
• Erase it, where we no longer need it to answer you.
• Withdraw your consent — as easily as you gave it. Just say so and we'll stop.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.

If you think we've mishandled your information, tell us first — write to themediaspark25@gmail.com marked for the attention of our Grievance Officer, and we'll respond within 30 days.

If we don't resolve it, you can escalate to the Data Protection Board of India. Going to us first isn't a condition of that — it's just usually faster.

This site is aimed at businesses and isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we'll delete it.

If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your information won't be applied retroactively without asking you.
